Mahdiyah Asiya holds a dual Masters of Science. She is a Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified Nurse Midwife (Seattle U), and a Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Board Certified Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist (Bastyr U). She is also a Licensed Massage Therapist, and was a Certified Birth-Doula. 

Throughout high-school she volunteered at her local hospital, and started taking classes at The Institute of Holistic Nutrition, of which she graduated from as a  Certified Nutritional Practitioner at 19 years old.

Over the years, she has taken countless continuing education courses and specializations. In 2013 and 2015 she studied at the University Hospitals in Chengdu and Shanghai, China, and volunteers with various health organizations, primarily with Acupuncture Relief Project Nepal, most recently leading a team of practitioners.

Her experience as an LAc includes multiple Neighborhood Clinics, Evergreen Treatment Center, International Clinic and Chronic Fatigue Department at Harborview, and interned doing Acupuncture on the Labor and Delivery Unit at Lutheran Hospital,  Brooklyn, NY.  She worked as an OB/Gyn nurse at Swedish, First Hill, and her Midwifery training involved both in-and-out of hospital settings. She was the only one of her classmates to travel to Spokane, WA for placement at their free-standing Birth Center, and is currently returning to birth-work. 


Her passion involves bridging both Eastern and Western medicine in true integrative care, dedicated to reminding each of us who we truly are! 
She is the co-founder of Barakah Beauty Collective, loves to teach and lead workshops/events, and is the Wellness Program Director with the goal to improve health outcomes for the women in our community iA.
