Ramadan Readiness Sisters Halaqa: February 21st, 2025

The Barakah Beauty Collective crew is excited to host our annual halaqa on prepping your heart and aligning your worship with Ramadan.

This is our last halaqa until after Ramadan. We look forward to coming together in preparation for the month of Ramadan.

Donations accepted to help cover costs, but are not required! Registration is encouraged to help us prepare, but it is not required.

**Our preference is for this to be an adult event. Please do not bring small children if possible. ** Young teens and preteens are perfectly fine. :-) The expectation is for everyone to be engaged and attentive to the halaqa. If your children are younger, we do not want you to miss halaqa so if this is the only option, you're welcome to come with your children. The expectation is they are attended to and not running around the facility. Thank you for your understanding.

Welcome to our halaqa series at Barakah Beauty Collective!

Come as you are to learn and enjoy a group of sisters increasing our spiritual awareness through traditional learning and a non-judgement zone.

Light refreshments will be available. Feel free to bring something to share but it's not a requirement.

The halaqas are lead by Elyaa Hammad. Elyaa is the Social Outreach Director at the Idris Mosque (Northgate). She is trained in aqeedah, seerah and Islamic studies from the University of Qatar and Ayat Center in Egypt for Quran studies.

She holds a Masters of Science in Information Systems from UW, a Bachelor's in Computer Science from George Washington University.

Elyaa is passionate about serving the Muslim community and working in interfaith initiatives. She initiated an interfaith program called “Cup of Tea” in both Dar Al-Hijrah and the Seattle community in order to build bridges of understanding between Muslims and people of other faiths.

Elyaa is the recipient of many awards including President Barack Obama's Gold Volunteer Award.
