This one-of-one garment debuted on the Threads of Renewal 2026 runway. The listed price is the opening bid. Bidding closes Monday, September 21 at 8 pm Pacific. The piece will be sold to the highest bidder when the auction closes. The opening bid reflects the garment's retail price. Of any amount raised above retail, 70% will benefit Barakah Beauty Collective and 30% will go to the artist. The highest bidder at closing wins the piece.

The companion piece to the Blue Blooms top, this one-of-one maxi skirt transforms a pair of denim jeans into the foundation of a flowing floral silhouette.

The original denim waistband, pockets, and upper construction remain visible, preserving the history of the reclaimed garment rather than disguising it. Below, the silhouette opens into softly gathered floral fabric, creating movement and volume while contrasting the familiar structure of denim with something lighter and more fluid.

It is a perfect example of Samira’s approach to Blue Desert: existing materials are not erased in order to become something new. Their previous lives remain visible — and become part of the story.
