This halaqa will be lead by Anse Jenn.

Anse Jenn is a public health educator from Michigan. She accepted Islam in 1992 while growing up in coastal Maine. She graduated from the Ribaat Islamic Studies Teacher program in 2020 and has spent over two decades studying Qur'an, Arabic, Shafi'I fiqh and usool, tafseer, and other subjects with a variety of teachers.

For over 20 years she has counseled converts and run support groups both online and in person including 10 years as Admin of the Muslim Women Convert Circle Facebook group.

You can also read her essays on her website www.tailsoffaithandlove.com where she gives her “Convert Muslim Auntie” perspective on life, faith, horse training, and public health. She is a mom of 4, grandmother of 1, and "mom" to a large retired Thoroughbred racehorse, a lot of cats, and a bunch of chickens and ducks.

**Our preference is for this to be an adult event. Please do not bring small children if possible. ** Young teens and preteens are perfectly fine. :-) The expectation is for everyone to be engaged and attentive to the halaqa. If your children are younger, we do not want you to miss halaqa so if this is the only option, you're welcome to come with your children. The expectation is they are attended to and not running around the facility. Thank you for your understanding.
