Watercolor Art Night - Combining Islamic & PNW Themes, December 7th, 2025 (Sunday)

Barakah Beauty Collective is excited to host a special art night, capturing the warmth and aesthetic values of the Autumn and Winter seasons, on Sunday, December 7th, 2025, starting at 11 am.

An Exceptional Workshop: The Intersection of Cultures in Seattle 

Join us for a unique watercolor workshop where the rich features of Middle East and Muslim Global Culture are blended with the iconic landmarks of Washington State and the charming city of Seattle. This workshop will be an opportunity to discover the beauty of this harmony through the stroke of watercolor.

Pre-registration is required. Tea and refreshments provided – please arrive 15 minutes early to connect and settle in.

Workshop includes: 

• Watercolor Overview: We will provide an introduction to watercolor painting techniques and cover some basic information about this delightful artistic medium, making it perfect for beginners and those looking to refine their skills.

• Blending Styles: Explore how to integrate traditional Middle East and Islamic motifs and ornamentation with the distinctive landscapes and urban landmarks of Seattle (such as the Space Needle or the winter ambiance of Pike Place Market).

• Lamees has created unique templates to assist you in creating memorable treasures for your home. If you prefer focusing on painting and not the drawing part, we have you covered! 

• All materials included: professional quality watercolor paints, brushes, and paper.

• Special Takeaway: You will receive a curated take-home watercolor palette

Led by the Distinguished Artist: Lamees Almarzooqi

The workshop is honored to host the talented Emirati artist and writer Lamees Almarzooqi. Lamees is a distinguished Emirati artist, a recipient of the Emirati Woman Award for Arts.

Her artistic portfolio includes major international and local art exhibitions, including:

• The Special Art Exhibition for Wives of Arab Presidents.

• The "Emirati Expressions" Exhibition.

• The "Abu Dhabi - Paris" Exhibition.

• Her paintings have also been displayed in the Burj Khalifa as part of a collective of elite Emirati artists.

Lamees will guide you through clear, step-by-step instructions to translate these cultural and aesthetic ideas onto paper.
